Converting Hexadecimal Numbers to Decimal is done with two Methods. The first Method is the Indirect Method and the second method is the Sum-of-Weights method.
Step 1: Hex is a base 16 and decimal is a base 10 so to convert a hexadecimal to a decimal, you need to multiply the hex number by 16.
Step 2: Now raise it to a power of 0 and increase that power by 1 each time according to the hexadecimal number equivalent.
Step 3:Now start from the right of the hexadecimal number and go to the left when applying the powers. Each time we multiply a number by 16, the power of 16 increases.
Example 1: Convert D8 to Decimal:
8 = 8 * (16 ^ 0) = 8
D = 13 * (16 ^ 1) = 208
Then, we add the results.
208 + 8 = 21610 decimal
